The Chairman of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, in his statement to the media has issued another message to the "coffee" group in the DP that no private meeting impresses him and that every voice that, according to him, is within the forums will be heard. He admitted that he met with Ilir Alimehmet, who is one of the people who holds meetings with the Democrats, while he said that he had expressed to him all the opinions that he has expressed publicly.
"One cannot shut one's mouth. The only requirement is that this analysis be done within the party. No private meeting impresses me, absolutely. In the meantime, every voice will be heard within the forums. This is my duty, this is a principle for every democratic political force. But those who choose private have made their choice.
After the analysis, we will go to the electoral congress. If there are clear opinions, the functions will be divided, and all of this will be done with the will of the DP membership, with the will of the democrats. Yes, I have met Ilir Alimehmet, I have not met the member of the presidency Ervin Salianji. Alimehmet did not bring me any platform, we had a conversation and I have more or less said what I told you. We have a statute, we have a will. Claiming that the DP is not a "witch hunt" party, Berisha said that the party cannot turn a blind eye to those who left the DP for the SP during the campaign. Although they are now in the ranks of the SP, the chief democrat said that they will be held accountable.

You saw it for yourself, after the elections there were those Democrats who had the salary of a Democratic Party MP, other members of the leadership who went and got jobs, became directors, advisors in the structures of the drug state. There were others, and these structures know better than I do, who did not work a day during the campaign. They did not work a day. There were others who went on vacation during the electoral campaign, or who worked for the SP. Of course, these will be held accountable and it will be the structures that will determine the attitude towards them. We are a party of open thought, we will never die, because we are a party of the values of freedom. There will be a discussion, with dozens and hundreds of discussions," said Berisha.
