Former candidate for MP, Ilir Alimehmeti, has stated that the movement organized by Ervin Salianji, of which he himself is a part, is not an anti-mayor movement.
Alimehmeti made the comments on A2 CNN, where he said that the goal of this initiative is to seek the reorganization of the Democratic Party. He emphasized that in the current situation, the DP seemed to be "sleepy" and was failing to properly represent its voters.
"We need to understand something important. Here we are not talking about a political discussion, about political leadership or about different political opinions. So it is not a movement of this type. It is a movement that requires organization.
So we need to reorganize, we need to re-represent ourselves. Because as we are, we are not doing our best. Then in this aspect we need a better organization. It seemed as if the situation was dormant and this is not going to work. This is the fourth mandate that Rama is governing and we are not allowed to do this. It is not even an anti-mayor movement, because they wanted to shift the attention here", said Alimehmeti.
