The leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, has declared that the Constitution and the parliamentary regulations have been seriously violated in the Assembly.
At the DP Parliamentary Group meeting, he accused the majority of concentrating power and suppressing pluralism.
According to him, Albania does not meet any standards for EU membership, except for its geostrategic position. Berisha stressed that the country has become a narco-state and epicenter of drug trafficking.
"The Constitution and the Rules of Procedure were severely violated in parliament. I strongly condemn the violation of the country's Constitution. The rule of law has been replaced by a narco-state. Albania does not meet any standards for being in the EU, except for its geo-strategic position. Power is concentrated in one hand. The majority uses the institutions to suppress pluralism," Berisha said.
He also said that the president's decree on virtual minister Diella is also unconstitutional and that the DP should urgently prepare a lawsuit in the Constitutional Court.
"the unprecedented act of the President of the Republic who decrees a virtual non-existent minister, insulting the constitution, the country and the president. And he does this as a true slave of Edi Rama. An unprecedented act. I think we should urgently initiate this decree in the Constitutional Court so that it is archived in the chamber of shame of history", said Berisha.
