Sali Berisha declared that the opposition will not join any votes with the majority on the proposed legal changes, which he described as unconstitutional.
"Those are unconstitutional changes and we will never unite any votes with Edi Rama. Let this be very clear," he said.
Continuing his statement, Berisha denounced as an "extremely dangerous act" the decision of the President of the Supreme Court, Sokol Sadushi, whom he accused of acting as a "partisan of Edi Rama."
"With the decision he has made, he has transformed Albania into the most dangerous country. It is many times more dangerous because it creates opportunities for all criminals to escape and there will be no more criminals in the dock," Berisha said.
According to him, this decision creates a shield for the leaders of criminal organizations, regardless of whether they are officials or not, and poses a danger to the entire region.
Berisha added that even in the last five years, a large number of arrest warrants against crime bosses have not been executed.
"Over the past 5 years, 252 warrants of crime bosses were not executed, but remained free in Albania and other countries. When only 15 percent of the warrants were executed, now it will be 0 percent," he said.
According to Berisha, with this decision by Sadushi, the arrest warrants risk ending up in fugitives and wanted persons.
