A session is taking place in the Electoral College that, if it weren't real, would seem like a comedy skit. Adriatik Lapaj, who initially claimed the sole mandate of the "Albania Initiative" coalition for himself, has suddenly changed his mind: he no longer wants it. Now he wants the mandate to go to his aunt's daughter, Kleana Xhuveli, and not to Ana Dajko, to whom KAS had given it according to the order of the list.
So, from “I am the one voted for by the citizens” Lapaj went to “it’s better to let my aunt keep it”. In the appeal of August 4, he insisted on being declared the winner with preferential votes, not recognizing as valid the revocation of the resignations by Zeqir Kordhoni (Endri Shabani’s uncle) and his aunt, Xhuveli. Both, according to the coalition agreement, had agreed to hand over the mandate, so that the one with the most votes would enter parliament. But as soon as Kordhoni remembered that he did not remember the signature of the resignation, Lapaj’s path to the Assembly was blocked.
