A specialized underwater search team of the Kosovo Security Force has arrived in Klos and, together with Albanian forces, has begun the search to find the body of 30-year-old Jurgen Karaj, who is suspected of being taken from the flow of a stream in the village of Dars.
The President of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, as the General Commander of the Kosovo Armed Forces, has authorized the specialized team to conduct underwater searches to support Albanian forces.
The Kosovar team will use specialized equipment, including the EDGE TECH 5201 underwater scanner and the DEEP Trekker DTG 3 ROV underwater drone.
The search for the 30-year-old man in Klos has been ongoing for several days, while numerous forces have participated in the operation, including the army, the "Eagle" Forces, the fire services of Mat and Klos, employees of the Klos Municipality, as well as residents of the area and family members of the missing person.
On January 10, Jurgen Karaj was traveling as a passenger in an Audi with English license plates, driven by his 24-year-old friend, Andi Losha, when the car left the road and fell into the stream in the village of Dars.
The 24-year-old is suspected of leaving the scene after the accident and not helping the 30-year-old get out of the vehicle. Losha was arrested for allegedly driving while intoxicated.
