Shkodra police are investigating the main lead of a blood feud, related to the murder of Frrok Lleshaj in the village of Paçram in Vau e Dejës last evening.
It all seems to start in 1991, when the son of a 65-year-old man was murdered in Greece.
As witnesses recount, after his son's murder, Frrok Lleshaj suspected his cousins, even though they were told that his son was killed by the Greek police.
He took revenge by killing his cousin Dodë Lleshaj. The 65-year-old denied having committed this event. He was later accused of killing a member of a family from Puka, an event for which he was sentenced to 25 years in prison and regained his freedom in 2023.
The feuds with both families are unresolved.
Frrok Lleshaj had returned to a normal life after being released from prison. He was taking care of livestock and was killed last evening while returning home.
During the 10 hours, the police have escorted several people from the families in conflict, but no one has been arrested yet. With the murder of Frrok Lleshaj, the number of victims due to enmity rises to 5, because he also had a brother killed more than 30 years ago.
