The lawyer of the 21-year-old who has denounced doctor Nikolla Nunka for sexual harassment has stated that there are other allegations against him, which according to her extend over a period of about 33 years.
In a public statement, the lawyer said that the law firm representing the young woman has received other complaints about similar cases of abuse, the most recent dating back just a year.
According to her, this is a repeated pattern of behavior, while raising questions about how the doctor has continued to practice his profession for so long in the hospital system, without administrative measures being taken against him.
"It is a recurring case. We have received complaints dating back 33 years, while the most recent case is a year ago. We are handling these cases before filing them with the relevant justice structures," the lawyer said.
She announced that a team of three lawyers is currently assisting the 21-year-old who filed the complaint, while they are also ready to represent other women or girls who may have been victims of similar abuse.
The lawyer emphasized that so far the investigative file has not been made available to them, despite requests made to the prosecutor's office, while evidence is being collected to be submitted to the police and the prosecution.
"We want to make it clear that this is not an isolated case, but a recurring phenomenon. It is time for women and girls to speak out and denounce," she declared.
Meanwhile, a hearing is expected to take place tomorrow to determine the security measure against doctor Nikolla Nunka, who is accused of sexual harassment.
