A serious incident was recorded in the Lungomare area of Vlora, where a pitbull attacked and bit a 4-year-old girl.
According to preliminary information, the dog is suspected to have been ownerless. At the time of the attack, the minor was in the area with her grandmother, and suffered head injuries.
After the incident, the girl was urgently transported to the Vlora Regional Hospital to receive the necessary medical assistance.
Her family members are shocked by what happened. In a statement to the media, the girl's mother said that the family is experiencing a strong state of anxiety and tension after the attack.
Meanwhile, the dog has been neutralized and kept tied up, while it is expected to be taken into administration by the relevant authorities to be sent to a specialized center for the treatment and protection of animals.
