The former director of the Cadastre, Dallëndyshe Bici, appeared this Tuesday at the Special Prosecutor's Office and gave explanations in the framework of the ongoing investigations regarding the criminal group led by Ergys Agasi and Ermal Beqiri, which operated within the National Agency for the Information Society.
The summons for Bici was signed by prosecutor Bledar Maksuti and, according to sources, she provided explanations regarding the registration of a luxury villa on the outskirts of Tirana, which she registered in the name of Agas. Investigators questioned Bici regarding the procedures for legalization and providing regular mortgage documentation for the villa, which was registered in the name of the wanted man.
Agasi and Beqiri are under international arrest, while the former director of AKSHI, Mirlinda Karcanaj, is under house arrest, while several other suspects are being investigated under lighter security measures.
Agasi and Beqiri, through their companies or those they indirectly controlled, have won millions of euros in tenders at AKSHI, after previously hijacking and forcing their rivals to withdraw from the competition.
