Senior State Police official Gentian Ndoi, who ran for head of the National Bureau of Investigation, has moved the Administrative Court to oppose the appointment of Joni Keta as head of this institution.
This Thursday, a court hearing was held at the Administrative Court, where Judge Altina Nasufi began reviewing Ndoi's lawsuit.
He requests the repeal of decision no. 370, dated 19.12.2025, of the High Prosecutorial Council "On the appointment of the Director of the National Bureau of Investigation".
Ndoi's lawyers claim that the act appointing Keta was taken in violation of the law and therefore should be found absolutely invalid.
He requests the Administrative Office to order the Selection Committee at the Special Prosecution Office, composed of Altin Dumani, Arben Kraja and Behar Dibra, to forward for appointment as Director of the National Bureau of Investigation, the candidate who received the most points in the competition held, Mr. Gentian Ndoi.
Ndoi was one of the candidates in the race to take over the leadership of the BKH and came first. But the KLP, based on the proposal of the SPAK commission, appointed Joni Keta to this position.
