On Monday evening, an unusual conflict in the “24 Maji” neighborhood of Vlora ended with the injury of 30-year-old Bledar Skënderaj. According to the police, it all started after a collision between two cars driven by Skënderaj and Andreino Lena. The collision caused only very minor material damage, but the two young men began to verbally conflict over blame and payment of damages.
At this moment, Edi Latifaj intervened, who tried to calm the situation, restoring the car's bumper and advising them not to act like children. Suddenly, the situation became even more tense and the two people who were in conflict collaborated to attack Latifaj. He was forced to enter his apartment, where he took a knife and during the fight he stabbed Bledar Skënderaj in the chest and neck, seriously injuring him.
Police arrested Latifaj, seizing his knife. He is charged with "Intentional Serious Injury" and "Unlicensed Production, Possession, Purchase or Sale of Cold Weapons." Andreino Lena, meanwhile, was arrested for "Failure to Report a Crime" and for cold weapons, as he did not report the conflict and was carrying a knife.
The story shows how a situation that was common for a minor collision between cars turned into a violent event, leaving one person seriously injured and two arrested.
