Another case of arms trafficking is cracked, a citizen from Kosovo ends up in handcuffs.
As part of the police operation codenamed "Barriera," 12 firearms, pistols and combat ammunition were seized, which were suspected of being sold in Fresk.
"As part of this operation, citizen DB, 27 years old, resident of Kosovo, was arrested in flagrante delicto.
During the operation at the exit of the Grand Ring Road, near the Tufina overpass, Police services located the suspect vehicle and intervened by stopping it.
"During the search of the "Volkswagen" vehicle driven by the 27-year-old, specifically under its hood, 10 Glock pistols with combat ammunition were found and seized," the police announced.
As part of this proceeding, two more Glock pistols were also seized, for a total of 12 pistols.
"The investigation revealed that the 27-year-old would sell the weapons in the Fresku area," investigators say.
Other citizens are suspected of being involved in the arms trafficking network.
