Former Dutch ambassador to Kosovo, Robert Bosch, has reacted sharply after Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky's visit to Belgrade and Ukraine's stance on the Kosovo issue.
Through a post, Bosch said he hopes the European Union will impose on Ukraine the same condition that, according to him, is being demanded of Serbia in the European integration process, recognition of Kosovo.
"Zelensky in Belgrade with his undemocratic friend, Vučić. Vučić thanks him for not recognizing Kosovo! I hope that the EU, just as it did with Serbia itself, will make recognizing Kosovo a condition for membership," Bosch wrote.
The former Dutch ambassador also commented on reports of discussions between Ukraine and Serbia regarding the joint production of drones, expressing concern about the consequences that such cooperation could have in the region.
"Ukraine is starting to become a threat, especially to Kosovo, but also to the Balkans in general. It is time for the EEAS to ask Zelensky to explain what he is doing!", declared Bosch.
His reaction comes after Zelensky's visit to Belgrade, where the Ukrainian president held meetings with Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić, where Ukraine's position on non-recognition of Kosovo's independence remains unchanged.
