The Saranda Court has ordered six people to be remanded in custody for allegedly assaulting Saranda's crime boss, Mateo Bakalli, after he intervened to break up a fight at Orange. The suspects are charged with "assault in the name of duty", committed in collaboration.
The Saranda Prosecution Office announces that the investigations into criminal proceedings no. 594, dated 17.08.2026, began after on 16.08.2026, in the early hours of the morning, the Chief of Crimes at the Saranda Police Station, citizen Mateo Bakalli, intervened to neutralize a conflict between security employees of the "Orange" club, Saranda, who were hitting several citizens.
Despite the fact that this citizen, when approached, introduced himself as the Chief of Crimes at the Saranda Police Station, he was hit by the Orange Club security guards.
