The Elbasan Court has ordered the security measure of "prison arrest" for Poli Boriç, suspected of attempting to murder a citizen with a firearm, after a conflict that occurred in a bar in Elbasan.
The hearing to assess the security measure took place at noon on August 18, while Boriç appeared before the court, accompanied by his lawyer.
According to the indictment, the conflict between the individuals escalated and Boriç is suspected of using a firearm. After the incident, he was detained by the Police and will now remain in custody while the investigation continues.
At the hearing, Boriç stated that he did not intend to kill the person, but only to intimidate him, as, according to him, he felt threatened by him.
The court has reviewed the materials administered up to this stage, while the Prosecution has requested a security measure to guarantee the continuation of the investigations.
Meanwhile, authorities are continuing their investigations to fully uncover the dynamics of the conflict, while the testimonies of those present at the bar and other evidence collected are expected to be analyzed.
