The Special Court decided to ease the security measure for the former head of the Albanian Regional Administration, Gentian Gjyli, as well as the former administrator of KESH, Erald Elezi, co-defendants with Belinda Balluku, former Deputy Prime Minister and former Minister of Infrastructure and Energy, for abuses with the tender for the construction of the Llogara tunnel.
Both were under house arrest, which was replaced with measures of "obligation to appear" and "prohibition on leaving the country."
Gjyli and Elezi are defendants in connection with the tender procedures for the construction of the Llogara tunnel. Elezi has also been named as a defendant for a part of the Tirana Ring Road.
Balluku, meanwhile, is being investigated for corruption and money laundering, while she is a defendant in the Llogara tender and all the lots of the Grand Ring Road.
