Anti-government protests continued in Serbia today, with demonstrations in Novi Sad where protesters blocked the Palace of Justice in protest against the arrests. The blockade began at around 6:00 a.m. and the students described it as an act of resistance “against the baseless arrests and legal violence being exercised against our colleagues and friends.”
Protests continued yesterday evening in several cities across the country, including Valjevo, Obrenovac, Sremska Mitrovica and Belgrade, where a large rally was held after a day's break. In the capital, demonstrators destroyed the premises of the Serbian Progressive Party (SNS) in Palilula and Zemun. After police intervention, President Aleksandar Vučić also went to one of the headquarters.
