The Turkish Defense Ministry stated that a ballistic missile from Iran was intercepted by NATO air and missile defense systems deployed in the Eastern Mediterranean after entering Turkish airspace, without specifying the exact location of the interception, Ansa reports.
Today's missile is the fourth missile from Iran towards Turkey to be intercepted by NATO's defense system since the beginning of the conflict between the US, Israel and Iran.
The Islamic Republic, for its part, has consistently denied responsibility for the missile launch.
