Trump will lead a transitional government in Gaza in the role of Tony Blair under the White House plan. The White House has shared Donald Trump's "comprehensive" plan to end the war in Gaza.
The 20-point plan appears similar to reports of a 21-point plan that emerged today. It is not clear who has agreed to this and whether it will be implemented.
But one point he emphasizes is that, if the fighting ends, Gaza will be placed under the control of a transitional government headed by Trump, including former British Prime Minister Tony Blair.
The White House plan outlines a series of steps it says will bring an end to the fighting in Gaza.
This includes that, within 72 hours of Israel's acceptance of the agreement, all hostages will be returned, alive and dead.
In exchange, Palestinian prisoners held in Israel will also be released.
Then, the White House says, Hamas fighters will commit to "peaceful coexistence," being able to leave Gaza with "safe passage" if they wish.
Also includes:
Plans for increasing aid,
A plan for the economic reconstruction of Gaza,
A promise that no one will be forced to leave Gaza,
There will be no role for Hamas or any other militant group.
Regional partners pledging to ensure Hamas acts in accordance with…
Israel does not occupy or annex Gaza.
