His sister has reacted publicly, announcing that her brother has suffered fractures to his skull and spine. She has asked for prayers for his health, while warning that those responsible for the violence will be held accountable.
The incident took place on Durrës Street, during the fourth day of protests. In the footage published in the media, a police officer is seen hitting and forcefully knocking the young man, who was standing motionless at the time, to the ground. Immediately after the incident, several other police officers approach him.
The case has raised serious questions about the use of force by police officers during protests, especially against people who do not pose a visible threat at the time of the intervention.
