In recent weeks, speculation has increased about a possible return of Jose Mourinho to Real Madrid, where the Portuguese previously managed the team from 2010 to 2013.
According to reports, Mourinho is seen as one of president Florentino Perez's preferred candidates, in case there is a change in the management bench and Alvaro Arbeloa is currently dismissed, as is rumored.
However, within the club and among the fans, opinions are divided. This has also been influenced by Mourinho's recent statements and the controversies involving players such as Vinicius Junior and Gianluca Prestianni.
According to journalist Gaston Alvarez, the Real Madrid dressing room does not see Mourinho as the preferred choice for next season. Instead, German coach Jurgen Klopp, who currently manages Benfica, is more appreciated.
Alvarez has stressed that some figures within the club have concerns about Mourinho's style, describing him as a "conflicting figure" who could bring tension to a dressing room with strong egos.
"Klopp is much more liked than Mourinho. Mourinho is a ticking time bomb... and they know it," he was quoted as saying.
"Florentino knows that Klopp is the more popular from a sporting perspective, but he also knows that Mourinho brings immediate buzz and impact," the analysis added.
It remains to be seen whether Real Madrid will make a final decision in the coming weeks.
