Cristiano Ronaldo has stated that his main goal at this stage of his career is to win the championship title with Al Nassr FC, admitting that the end of his career as a footballer is getting closer and closer.
The Portuguese striker continued his good form on Wednesday, scoring in the victory over Al Ahli Saudi FC, a result that brings his team even closer to their first championship trophy in Saudi Arabia.
In a recent interview with "Canal GOATBR", Ronaldo spoke openly about his future, hinting that the moment of retirement from professional football is not far off.
"The end of my career is approaching, I want to enjoy every match," he said, emphasizing that for him every match now has a special value.
"I'm not just playing for this generation, but also for the past and for what's to come. I'm enjoying it day after day, match after match, year after year. It's a fact that the end is approaching," the Portuguese star added.
He also stressed that his career has been extremely successful and that he wants to end it on the same level: "My career has been brilliant and I want to continue in this way. I want to score goals and above all, win. We really want to win the league."
Meanwhile, Ronaldo has reached 970 career goals, moving ever closer to the historic target of 1,000 goals in official matches, a feat that has never been achieved by any footballer before.
