Luca Zidane, Algeria goalkeeper and son of French legend Zinedine Zidane, is in danger of playing in the World Cup.
He suffered a fractured jaw and chin in Granada's last match, after a collision with one of Almeria's opposing players.
The 27-year-old is expected to miss the rest of the season and could be out even longer if he needs surgery.
Luca Zidane's injury has also been confirmed by the Granada team, through an official statement.
"The player, in consultation with the club's medical staff, will decide in the coming hours on the course of treatment to be followed," the announcement states.
