
The play-off draw for the 2026 World Cup took place this Thursday in Zurich, Switzerland, where Albania revealed its opponent. The Red and Blacks will face Poland, while Kosovo will face Slovakia.
This is the first time in history that Albania has reached the play-off stage of a World Cup, a great achievement for Albanian football. The national team will do their utmost to secure a place in the group stage.
If qualified, Albania will face the winner of the Ukraine-Sweden match in the play-off final.
The 2026 World Cup will be held in the United States, Mexico and Canada.
