A 31-year-old man has been arrested by Rrogozhina police after starting a fire on his land, which then spread, burning a large area of land and fruit trees in the village of Ballaj.
The arrested person has been identified as Izabel Aliu, a resident of Vilbashtovë. The police announced that the fire started while burning waste on his land and spread out of control. The procedural materials have been sent to the Durrës General Jurisdiction Prosecutor's Office. The Police Services appeal to citizens not to light fires to burn waste or agricultural waste and to avoid throwing lit cigarettes near forest areas.
