A 35-year-old man has been arrested by the Tirana Police after he was caught trading expired agricultural products, whose expiration date had been illegally changed. As a result of this operation, citizen ED, 35 years old, resident of the village of Krutje, Lushnje, was arrested in flagrante delicto.
From the investigations so far, it is suspected that this citizen had sold a significant amount of agricultural products for plant protection, whose expiration dates he had artificially extended by placing new labels with false dates.
The checks carried out in collaboration with AKU employees discovered in his warehouse, in the Fushë-Krujë area, a large quantity of agricultural products, which had a shelf life of 2 years from the date of production, but which had been re-labeled with new labels indicating a shelf life of 3 years from the date of production.
During the inspection, hundreds of adhesive labels were seized as material evidence, on which the expiration date of agricultural products had been illegally changed, as well as a significant amount of expired products.
