In contrast to the day before, when despite requests, a meeting was not reached at the municipality, this Wednesday a representation of residents affected by the TID project was received by the institution's legal director, Alneida Rroshi.
After the meeting, the residents' representative, architect Entela Koja, told the media that they have asked the municipality to inform them within the specified deadlines about the procedures being followed by local authorities and the Ministry of Culture.
According to her, the initial project has shown a number of irregularities, so residents are demanding that this time they be actively involved in the decision-making and consultation process.
Although their request was officially submitted, residents said that they did not receive a written response during the meeting, which has increased demands for more institutional transparency.
They express skepticism about procedures that could affect their properties and insist that every official communication be documented.
The TID Durrës project, which is expected to be implemented by the Ministry of Culture, the Municipality of Durrës and the AADF, foresees interventions that include the demolition of homes and businesses of about 80 families in the area near the amphitheater and in the historical space of the city.
