The United States of America has decided to indefinitely suspend the strategic dialogue with Kosovo, expressing deep concern about the actions of the acting Government led by Albin Kurti.
The news was officially confirmed by the US Embassy in Pristina through a Facebook announcement, which expressed Washington's disappointment with the current situation.
"The actions of the incumbent government have increased tensions and instability, limiting the US capacity to effectively engage with Kosovo on our shared priorities," the statement said.
This decision is considered a strong diplomatic signal, reflecting the growing disagreements between the US and the Kurti Government regarding the management of internal affairs and the dialogue with Serbia.
The Kosovo-US strategic dialogue includes cooperation in key sectors such as security, justice, energy, investment and the rule of law. Its suspension constitutes one of Washington's harshest measures against Pristina in recent years.
