The leader of the Democratic League of Kosovo, Lumir Abdixhiku, said they have reached an agreement to run together with Vjosa Osmani in the June 7 elections.
After the LDK leadership meeting, Abdixhiku told the media that the cooperation with Osmani was supported by the members.
"By voting in this body, we agreed to convene the LDK General Council this Saturday to finalize all issues related to the electoral preparatory part. A special point of this meeting was of course the great unification that we are talking about and to which we are committed. I informed both the presidency and the branch heads of the process so far.
We voted and agreed to formalize from now on, in cooperation with Vjosa Osmani, the joint competition in the upcoming elections. For this, please give me a few more days to finalize the discussions with Mrs. Osmani, to conclude with a formal vote at the General Council meeting. So, there was agreement on the idea of unification, there was agreement on joint competition, there was agreement on many things that we have discussed so far and at the General Council meeting we will formalize these issues in detail", he said.
