All political parties registered in Kosovo are obliged to notify the Central Election Commission (CEC) by May 7th whether they will participate in the early elections for the Assembly of Kosovo.
This legal obligation applies to the 53 currently registered parties, while it does not include entities that intend to compete as citizens' initiatives or independent candidates.
Within the same deadline, parties must also declare whether they will compete within a coalition.
According to CEC rules, a coalition can be formed by at least two political parties, and after certification, no entity can withdraw from the coalition until the final certification of the election results.
Meanwhile, the official election campaign period for the June 7, 2026 elections will last 10 days and 7 hours, starting on May 28 and ending on June 7 at 06:59.
The draw for the ranking of political entities on the ballot is expected to be held on May 16, 2026, in accordance with the electoral calendar approved by the CEC.
Early elections for the Assembly of Kosovo will be held on June 7, 2026.
