Citizens of North Macedonia are expected to be able to travel to the United States with just a passport, without the need for an application, additional documents, or visa interviews.
This is one of the issues raised by the Government of North Macedonia within the framework of the Strategic Dialogue with the US, launched in June 2022, which aims to strengthen relations between the two countries and bring concrete benefits in various areas of cooperation.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade, Macedonian institutions are engaged in cross-sectoral working groups to join the Visa Waiver Program and the Global Entry Program in the US. However, this remains a long-term process that takes place within the framework of the Strategic Dialogue.
