The Commander of the NATO-led KFOR mission, Major General Enrico Barduani, and the Head of the European Union Office in Kosovo, also EU Special Representative, Aivo Orav, have signed a memorandum of understanding that defines the modalities of cooperation in cases of displacement or evacuation during critical situations.
According to the KFOR announcement, this memorandum (MoU) aims to formalize coordination procedures between KFOR and EUKO (the EU Rule of Law Mission in Kosovo), strengthening mutual trust, clarifying roles and increasing operational effectiveness within the framework of their respective mandates.
This step is considered evidence of the joint commitment between military and civilian actors to act in a coordinated and proactive manner, contributing to strengthening readiness, stability and security on the ground, especially in challenging circumstances.
