The AAK General Council meeting has decided that Ardian Gjini will be the head of the party's list for the June 7 elections. Gjini, who is currently the mayor of Gjakova, will lead the list of Ramush Haradinaj's party. Ardian Gjini's name was approved by a majority vote by the AAK council.
In his speech to the assembly, Ramush Haradinaj said:
'This list reflects the unity of the Alliance, combining political experience with new professional developments, with the sole aim of serving the citizens and strengthening the state of Kosovo. Another important point was the approval of statutory changes, which will make the Alliance an even more dynamic, transparent and open organization for democratic processes within it. These changes precede the Alliance's Electoral Assembly to be held on May 24, for which it was confirmed that the final preparations have been successfully completed,' Haradinaj declared.
