Cape Verde goalkeeper Vozinha has spoken about his future after an extraordinary performance at the 2026 World Cup, where he was one of his team's protagonists in the historic adventure.
The 40-year-old goalkeeper is currently out of contract, as his deal with Portuguese club Chaves expired on June 30. However, his performances at the World Cup have attracted the attention of several clubs.
Vozinha was one of Cape Verde's key figures in their journey to the round of 16, where the African team put up a strong fight against Argentina, losing only 2-3 after a dramatic match.
In the tournament, the goalkeeper played four matches, conceded five goals, kept two clean sheets and recorded 18 saves.
"Facing Argentina was an incredible experience. We fought until the end and had a real chance to win. We showed the world that we have a high level," said Vozinha.
The Portuguese veteran originally from Cape Verde made it clear that he is not thinking about retirement yet.
"I want to continue playing for another year or two, maybe three. I'll see how my body reacts. Now I'm a free agent and I'm looking for a good project," he said.
His performances at the World Cup could open the door to another adventure in his long career.
