Ervin Salianji, present at the DP Presidency meeting, spoke to the media shortly before the start of the meeting, openly expressing his support for the protests, even going further, towards civic revolts.
According to him, the focus should be on directly confronting the government and listening to every citizen's concern. Salianji said that if the Democratic Party fails to translate the concerns of the democrats into real protest energy, it will find it difficult to mobilize citizens, as has happened so far.
"It is time to focus on protests, on revolts, on confronting the government, on listening to every citizen's concern. If we are not able to translate the concerns of the democrats into energy, we will find it difficult, as we are, to hold protests. The right path is revolts, not rostrums in front of the Prime Minister's Office," said Salianji.
He added that he has reiterated this position at every meeting of the Presidency and that he hopes that this will be reflected in the future decision-making of the party's leadership structures. Salianji also emphasized that he has been present at every protest and that he has always submitted to the party's decision-making.
