At today's meeting of the Socialist Party parliamentary group, Prime Minister Edi Rama also mentioned MP Erion Braçe during his speech to the MPs.
Rama recounted an episode that, according to him, journalist Jonida Shehu had recounted to him, who had told him that an MP had refused to appear in the media with the sentence: "Why do we want to become like Erjon Braçe?"
The Prime Minister brought up this situation again at the meeting, addressing the MPs with an ironic comment about Braca.
"It would be an honor to take his role model. But you can't be like him. There is no second and two cannot be tolerated," Rama said.
However, throughout the meeting there was no reference to Braça's rumored ambition to run for mayor of Tirana. On the contrary, Rama's comment was interpreted as a signal of relaxation in relation to the socialist MP, unlike the previous clash he had with Elisa Spiropali.
Braçe himself did not take the floor during the parliamentary group meeting. Meanwhile, MP Belinda Balluku reported on developments in her electoral area.
