Renowned actor Robert Ndrenika reacted on the Top Story show after the public debate caused by his statement in support of Erion Veliaj,
Ndrenika said that after meeting with Veliaj in court, he was faced with negative comments, even from close people and family, which according to him upset him. He said that his colleagues did not attack him and that he received positive reactions from them.
The actor emphasized that he cannot express with conviction Veliaj's innocence, but added that he has known him for years and has created a positive perception of his figure.
Ndrenika also rejected claims that he has received favors or wealth from the mayor of Tirana. He stated that he has never bought a house, as the apartment and land he owns are family heirlooms, which, according to him, date back to the time of King Ahmet Zogu.
