The leader of the Albania Becomes Movement, Adriatik Lapaj, and several citizens are continuing the protest in front of the Prime Minister's Office. But as the rally was expected to take place at 5:00 PM, the Police intervened to remove the generator, donated by an Albanian immigrant in England.
"They didn't give us electricity even though we've been sending letters to the Tirana Municipality for 6 days. I appealed for citizen help so that someone could bring us a generator. Dritan Toci flew from London and came, bought it and brought it," Lapaj wrote on Facebook. Meanwhile, the Police have intervened against the protesters, asking them to clear the sidewalk in front of the Prime Minister's Office.
Lapaj argued with the police, saying that he had permission for this gathering.
"Tell us which law we broke?", says Lapaj. Meanwhile, the police have requested the removal of an electricity generator, as well as nearby chairs.
The protesters claim that they are complying with the law and have not violated it, as it concerns a regular protest.
