Albanian-American activist Evi Kokalari, one of the most vocal supporters of Sali Berisha during the "Pulpit" movement and the battle for the Democratic Party headquarters, has expressed disappointment after saying that she has not yet managed to register her candidacy for the process of electing the new leader of the Democratic Party.
In a Facebook status, Kokalari writes that her lawyer went to the DP headquarters this morning to submit the documents, but was not allowed inside.
"At 9:30 AM, my lawyer in Tirana went to the DP headquarters to submit the application file and the guard did not let him in, but communicated to him, after speaking to someone inside, that: 'we do not accept envelopes'," she writes.
According to Kokalari, her lawyer clarified that it was about her application file for candidacy, while she adds that the documents will be sent by mail.
"We will start with DHL and send it to those who need it, via text and email before the deadline," writes Kokalari, closing the reaction with an ironic comment: "Clowns!!!".
