The Minister of the Interior has finally found something to deal with: electric scooters. While organized crime flourishes, dubious tenders are inflated and robberies occur in broad daylight, Albana Koçiu has declared the new public enemy - the electric scooter.
"The suspension of movement with electric skateboards came as a necessary measure to guarantee the safety of citizens, until a clear legal framework is created that regulates their use. The goal is to regulate the movement of electric skateboards in a safe, organized manner and in accordance with urban life," declared Minister Koçiu.
Now we eagerly await the "legal framework" that will regulate the fate of these dangerous tools, which - apparently - are seriously threatening the constitutional order.
As for citizen safety? Well, with skateboards under control, we'll probably feel more at ease... until some other minister discovers some new urban threat, like bicycles without bells or pedestrians who don't walk on white lines.
