Mundësia party MP Erald Kapri stated in an interview with News 24 that there is no possibility of cooperation with the current opposition, following Sali Berisha's call to unite against Edi Rama's government.
Kapri stressed that his party cannot sit at a table where there are figures accused of corruption, specifically mentioning Sali Berisha and Ilir Meta, as well as the "Partizani" file against the leading democrat. According to him, the lack of credibility of the opposition leadership is the main reason why the protests, although massive, have not produced political results.
He underlined that the fight against corruption is the main problem of Albanians and that it is precisely for this stance that the Mundësia party has received about 50 thousand votes. Kapri added that, although they also aim to overthrow the government, this cannot be done by joining forces with actors who, according to him, aim to attack justice to save their political chairs.
"Protest is a good tool to raise your voice, but without credibility, the government cannot be overthrown. Even bigger protests have been held and have not yielded results. A change of leadership is needed. Under these conditions, we cannot go to the table," said Kapri.
