The EU Ambassador to Albania, Silvio Gonzato, held a meeting with the newly elected head of SPAK, Klodian Braho.
“First meeting with the new President of SPAK, Klodian Braho. I congratulated him on SPAK’s achievements to date and stressed the importance of continuing to deliver tangible results in the fight against organised crime and corruption, a key element for Albania’s progress towards EU membership. Strengthening investigative capacities and ensuring high standards in investigations and prosecutions are crucial for consolidating progress and achieving sustainable results. The European Union remains fully committed to supporting SPAK and the rule of law in Albania,” Gonzato wrote.
Braho succeeded Altin Dumani in office, as the latter's 3-year mandate ended in mid-December.
