The leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, has appeared at SPAK in implementation of the "compulsory appearance" security measure imposed on him.
Berisha stopped to speak with journalists, where he also responded to journalist Klodiana Lala regarding the file known as "Balluku" and the allegations that it was kept secret by the Democratic Party.
Berisha said he would not publish details of the file due to the presence of witnesses and justice collaborators, who, according to him, must be protected.
"In that 'Balluku' file, I guarantee that if I were the plaintiff, I would make it public. But here I am a party and I am obliged. There are witnesses and collaborators of justice there and I will not accept under any circumstances that they be betrayed. They are valuable people who have decided to serve justice with their testimonies," said Berisha.
He added that publishing the identities of the repentants would harm the investigative process and that the Democratic Party fully supports the investigations.
"We are in favor of full support for the investigations. Justice collaborators cannot be put on the market," he stressed.
