Prime Minister Edi Rama has once again commented on the issue of national unification between Albania and Kosovo, describing it as a "19th and 20th century formula", which according to him does not reflect today's political and international reality.
In a recent interview, Rama stated that progress in this direction is impossible without building full international trust and sympathy, which according to him is currently lacking.
"It is impossible to progress in any direction without creating strong international friendships and alliances. This is not achieved just because we want it, but because we must have the right support. In this regard, the mildest word that can be said is that there is no progress on the part of Kosovo in strengthening international relations," Rama declared.
He stressed that the only real path to unity is joint integration into the European Union, underlining:
"For me, if we talk about national unity, we talk about the European Union."
