In the next session at the GJKKO for the “Partizani” process, the former director of the multi-sports club, Afrim Tola, testified about the condition of the assets before privatization. He stated that the facilities were depreciated and forcibly occupied by family members, while the valuation of the assets by the working group at that time reached the figure of 20 million lek.
During questioning by lawyers and Jamarbër Malltezi, Tola claimed that his focus was on athletes and that he did not remember contacts with buyers or details of the 2003 letters.
Full proof:
In the period 2006–2008 I was the director of the multi-sports club “Partizani”. The staff had 5–6 employees, while the rest were not paid by the state. There were endless athletes, in all categories. We had a very small fund, only elite athletes were paid. For most athletes we found opportunities to pay them. In volleyball, a volleyball gym and a wrestling gym were arranged.
SPAK: What procedure did you carry out for privatization?
Tola: We were a working group set up by the minister to identify the club's assets and make an assessment. No one contacted me when I was director.
Lawyer Klodian Skënderja: Do you remember signing a privatization document?
Tola: I don't remember, it's been many years.
Lawyer: Make it available?
Court: Admitted.
Tola: We were members of the commission and they came there to see; I don't remember anything else.
Lawyer: What condition was the environment in?
Tola: Depreciated; except for the ones we tried to fix ourselves, the rest was depreciated, it didn't even have a door.
Lawyer: What did the inventory contain?
Tola: I don't remember, it's been many years. At that time, I remember there were families who occupied the premises.
Lawyer Skënderaj: Have you set a concrete figure for the inventory?
Tola: The total valuation was 20 million lek.
Malltezi: Are you aware that there is a document from 2003 that shows that many buildings are forcibly occupied and there were problems with the inventory?
Tola: I don't remember, I don't remember.
Tola: I told you before, in the multi-sports club "Partizani" there were parts that were taken by force. In 2006 it was valued at 20 million lekë.
Malltezi: Do you know how much privatization is worth?
Tola: I don't know how much has been done.
Lawyer Sokol Hazizaj: What duties did you perform, how did your duties begin?
Tola: I was dealing with athletes. I didn't meet anyone at that time; I don't remember. I heard the name Fatmir Bektashi, but I don't remember meeting him.
