The protest against the government continued this Saturday in Tirana, where citizens and supporters of the Democratic Party marched towards the Ministry of Education to join students demanding the resignation of Prime Minister Edi Rama.
With calls against the government, protesters marched along the "Martyrs of the Nation" Boulevard, demanding Rama's removal from the country's leadership. During the march, slogans such as "Government of crime", "Your end has come" and "Resign" were heard.
Deputy Prime Minister Belinda Balluku has also been targeted by protesters' calls, with calls for her arrest being made, as well as for the head of government.
The march of opposition supporters aims to join the student rally in front of the Ministry of Education, giving the protest broader participation beyond the university community.
This Saturday's protest is part of a series of anti-government rallies, where students' demands on education issues have been accompanied by calls for the prime minister's resignation and political change.
Despite the diverse composition of the participants, the demand that unites the protesters remains the removal of Edi Rama from power.
