Iran is gradually restoring access to a significant portion of its missile arsenal stored in underground facilities, according to an analysis published by CNN and based on new satellite imagery.
The report casts doubt on statements by US President Donald Trump, who had earlier claimed that Tehran's missile capabilities had been almost completely destroyed during military operations.
According to CNN analysis, during the conflict, airstrikes by the United States and Israel damaged several underground missile complexes, blocking access and severely restricting the movement of weapons within them. This situation isolated a large portion of Iranian launchers and weakened the country's ability to launch missile strikes.
However, the latest satellite images show that Iranian authorities have begun work to restore these strategic structures to function. The images show bulldozers, trucks and other construction equipment being used to clear blocked entrances and rehabilitate the tunnels.
According to CNN, this development could blunt the effects of the military campaign undertaken by Israel and the US, which had required intensive use of air power to neutralize Iranian missile capabilities.
On the other hand, the Pentagon continues to defend the military operation, stating that the previous mission was successful and that strategic targets were effectively hit.
