US President Donald Trump has canceled a trip to Pakistan by his two envoys, Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner, Fox News reported. The two US officials were expected to meet with Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi in Islamabad.
Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmaeil Baghaei stated that "no meeting with the United States is planned" in Pakistan, denying previous reports that spoke of a possible meeting between delegations from Tehran and Washington.
Meanwhile, Trump himself said the trip was canceled due to “a lot of confusion around the leadership in Iran.” Asked if the war could resume, he replied: “We haven’t thought about that yet.”
