A 51-year-old woman of Albanian origin, who was in Italy without permanent residence and who was previously known to the police, has been arrested after being caught with cocaine.
Earlier, the police stopped two men in a vehicle in the municipality of Magione for a check, who were found with 0.7 grams and 1.3 grams of cocaine. They were referred to the Prefecture as "users".
After further searching the apartment of one of them, the carabinieri also found the 51-year-old Albanian woman there. When she saw the police, she attempted to throw away three small, hermetically sealed bags containing a total of 1.70 grams of cocaine.
From the personal search carried out on her, 4 more bags containing 2.20 grams of cocaine, 50 euros in cash - suspected to be proceeds from drug sales - and a mobile phone were seized.
After this, the woman was arrested in flagrante delicto for the criminal offense of "possession with intent to distribute narcotics."
After the usual procedures at the Carabinieri Command in Città della Pieve, she was held in security cells awaiting summary trial. The judge confirmed the arrest and imposed the prohibitory measure of not allowing her to return to the Province of Perugia.
